ARRIVAL IN HO CHI MINH CITY

		(by A/C car)
		Arrival in
		to
Saigon in the morning (I suppose),
		warmly
welcome to everybody, a moment of courtesy meeting of the tour guide in
the meeting point's Tan Son Nhat Airport.

		Saigon
		or

		Ho Chi Minh City -
		a young
city with the age of more than 300 years, a centre of culture,
education, commerce and tourism of Vietnam,
the biggest city of Vietnam mix with the West and the Orient, and
once known as the "Pearl of Far East".
On the way to hotel for check-in, you will visit the

Duc Ba Cathedral Basilica of Saigon or

		Neo-Roman Notre Dame Cathedral
		inaugurated in 1880

		- one
of the most splendid and typical of the beautiful French-built churches
		in Ho Chi Minh city.
		In front of the
cathedral stands a statue of Our Lady of Peace, dedicated to the
Cathedral when it was elevated to the rank of basilica in 1959. At the
9.30AM Sunday mass, the priests are allowed to add a short sermon in
French or English to their longer presentations in Vietnamese. This
might be the best one for foreign travelers to attend. Visit later
the Tan Dinh Church, one of the
most beautiful church in Ho Chi Minh City, inaugurated in 1876 with the
52,6m high bell tower built in 1929.
Transfer to hotel for check-in (at
noon) and a moment time of rest.
		In the afternoon, you
continue to the Ancient House in the Archbishop
		House,
		Saigon's
oldest house is located on the premises of the Bishop's Office. It has
been renovated several times, the last renovation being in 1980, but its
original shape and appearance from two hundred years ago has not
changed. Keep on visiting Huyen Sy Church
(Cho Dui Church) which was set on
construction in 1901 and inaugurated in 1905. The church was shaped in a
Gothic style. The tour is followed up to the
Church of Nga Sau. In 1922, on an ancient Chinese grave-yard
Father Huynh Tinh Huong began the construction of this Romanesque
church. It was inaugurated in 1928 and dedicated to Saint Joan Arc.
Return to your hotel and free at leisure for your own activities.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

		Day 2:

HO CHI MINH CITY FULLDAY PILGRIMAGE TOUR
		(by A/C car)

After breakfast, enjoy a full day tour of pilgrimage in Saigon where
there are many splendid and solemn churches.
The first visit is the Thu Duc Parish,
one of the most ancient parishes of the Ho Chi
Minh City archdiocese. From the beginning the parish has a church
but none knows when the present church built. The only thing one knows
is in 1931, Father Tha, then deputy parish priest, began to enlarge the
church. It was repaired and enlarged many times until now. Continue to
the Church of Hanh Thong Tay built in
1921 from the gift of money of Mr. Denis Le Phat An, son of the great
donor Le Phat Dat (Huyen Sy). Two works of sculpture still preserved
inside the church are the statues of the donors, Mr. and Mrs. Le Phat
		An.
Then, drive straight to the 5th district to visit the
Cha Tam Church. In 1898, a
Chinese priest, father Francis Xavier Tam Assou, was sent to take care
of the Chinese Christians in Cho Lon region. He began the construction
in 1900 and inaugurated 2 years later. In the same district is situated
the Church of Cho Quan which we see now
was set to work on construction in 1882 by Father Errard, a French
missionary, who was at the time a great builder of churches. After 14
years of construction work, the church was inaugurated on January the 4th
of the Lunar year Binh Than (1896). Visit then the
		Church of the Redemptorist Congregation
completed in 1953 with the church measures 30m by 15m, a seating
capacity of 1000 people. You also visit the
church of Ba Chuong and nearby is
the Vuon Xoai Church inaugurated in
1981, the first church in Ho Chi Minh City built after 1975.
Evening, we highly recommend an good dinner cruise (not
included) on Saigon River in a
floating restaurant and getting the admirable feel of the charming views
of Saigon river and city-by-night during a
		short river-cruising.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
