VIETNAM Expedition-Time to Discover!

HANOI - HA LONG BAY – SAPA / LAO CAI – BAC HA - NINH BINH / HOA LU - BABE LAKE - BAN GIOC WATERFALL - CAOBANG ---12Day/ 11Night---

 

Day 1: ARRIVAL HANOI. (D) Welcome to Hanoi. Transfer to hotel check in and free at leisure. (Check in time after 2.00PM). Evening, enjoy the water puppet show which is a traditional art to tell a long-standing wet rice civilization of Vietnam. O/N in HA NOI.

 

Day 2: HA NOI – HA LONG BAY. (175 km).  (B, L, D) Breakfast. Visit to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Ba Dinh National square, Stilt House, One Pillar ancient Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Temple of Literature which was the first examination compound of 1,000 years old. Afternoon, drive straight to Ha Long Bay – a beautiful Bay absolutely recognised as the World Natural Heritage by UNESCO. O/N in HA LONG BAY.

 

Day 3: HA LONG BAY – HA NOI – LAO CAI ( 175 km ) . (B, L, D)

Breakfast. Enjoy a sailing boat to cruise 5 hours on the Bay. The cruise will bring you to visit around the shapely islets of Fighting Cock, Incense-burner and others. Anchoring at Titop Islet where is the calm and clean sand and transparent beaches in order to enjoy sun-sea bathing there. Seafood lunch on board. Boat back Halong Quay and drive back to Hanoi in the late afternoon. Arrival the city and transfer to Hanoi Railway Station for a night train to Lao Cai. Welcome on board, the train will depart at 10.00PM. Enjoy your night in A/C Superior cabin. O/N on TRAIN.

 

Day 4: LAO CAI  - SAPA ( 38 km). (B, L, D)

Arrival Lao Cai Station on early morning about 06.00AM. Pick up at the station and drive to Sapa Town. Breakfast at local restaurant. Then, visit Sapa Market and Sapa Church – as an impress mark, timing witness of this solitary mountain region. Then, check in hotel and short rest. Afternoon, an interesting trekking tour to CatCat village then take a walk to Taphin village where Red Dao, black Hmong minotities are living with theirs colourful civilian clothes. Evening visit to Sapa Love Market (available in Saturday & Sunday evening only) that you can imaging how is the Montagnards to express their love. O/N in SAPA.

 

Day 5: SA PA – BAC HA – LAO CAI. (80 km).  (B, L, D) Breakfast. Then, discover the most famous market of the region – Bac Ha market (available on Sunday only)which is well known by its various handicraft objects of minority groups of H’Mongs, Dao, Zay..,  Then, follow up to visit Hoang-Yen-Chao Nung King’s palace. Then drive back to Lao Cai Rail station for a night train back to Hanoi. The train will depart at 09.15PM. Enjoy your night in A/C Superior cabin. O/N on TRAIN.

 

Day 6: HA NOI– NINH BINH (110 km) (B, L, D) The train arrives at Hanoi Railway Station in early morning at 05.30AM. Transfer to a local restaurant for breakfast. Then, travelling to Ninh Binh province which is called “Halong Bay on Land” to enjoy full day tour in marvelous nature. Firstly, visit Hoa Lu Ancient Royal Capital which was set in a spectacular of lush rice paddies and mountains, where you will visit Dinh and Le Temples which are standing on the archaeological land of the old citadel. Then, rowing boat along the streams through the rice field to admire the picturesque views and visit Tam Coc caves. Rowing back to departure bank to visit the Bich Dong ancient pagodas hide itself on the slope’s rocky hillrange. Then, drive back to city for overnight. O/N in NINH BINH.

 

Day 7: NINH BINH – HA NOI, (B, L, D) Breakfast. Then, excursion to Phat Diem Church which was built between 1875 and 1898, an architectural complex combining the traditional pagoda architecture of Vietnam and the Gothic Style of Christian architecture. The traditional architecture of Vietnam is recognized obviously in each ornament : the Belfry has curly tiled roof-tops with decoration of Vietnamese temples, the shrine of Jesus’ Heart is made of jackwood, the Big Cathedral is designed as a Museum in Vietnam. Upon arrival in Bac Kan, transfer to hotel or guest house for check in and a moment of rest then take an walking tour along the lake to visit to Pac Ngoi village, one of the village of  Museum in Vietnam. Upon arrival in Bac Kan, transfer to hotel or guest house for check in and a moment of rest then take an walking tour along the lake to visit to Pac Ngoi village, one of the village of Tay hill tribe people. Back to your  hotel for dinner and overnight. O/N in BAC KAN.

 

Day 9: BA BE LAKE / BAC KAN  – BAN GIOC / CAO BANG  (150 km). (B, L, D) Breakfast. Enjoy a sailing boat to cruise (4 hours) to visit the small islands of Po Ga Mai and An Ma, and Puong Grotto. Especially the Puong Grotto about 30m height and 300m length, shapely stalactites, and thousands of herds. An interesting boat trip will cruised along a navigable river through the cave. In the late afternoon, drive directlty to Cao Bang Province for the next marvellous discover by tomorrow O/N in CAO BANG.  

 

Day 10:  CAO  BANG - BAN GIOC FULL DAY TOUR (85km) (B, L, D) Breakfast . Take a trip to Ban Gioc Waterfall which is the loftiest and most beautiful fall in Viet Nam. The Waterfall is dropping from 53m vertically, 300m span,. The most impressive scence is from May to SEP when the falls have three levels, creating a sort of giant staircase. On the way, we stop to visit to ethnic minorities - Nung villages to see  the real lifestyle of native people and experience the daily lives to understand better their culture and customs. Back to your hotel for dinner and free at leisure for your own activities. O/N in CAO BANG.

 

Day 11: CAO BANG – HANOI  (272 km) (B, L, D) Breakfast. Check out and transfer back to Hanoi via Lang Son Province where you can stop to do shopping at Old market or Dong Kinh market with many kinds of local goods as well as the goods that break easily from China. Arrival in Hanoi, check in your hotel then free for your own independence activities. O/N in HA NOI.

 

Day 12: FLY BACK HOME FROM HA NOI – WELCOME HOME ! (B)  Free at leisure until check-out (at noon), transfer to Airport for a flight back to your next destination.
