Day 1: CHIENG KHONG / HOUISAY - PAKBENG - HONGSA (by A/C car, boat)

Arrival at Chiangkong-Houisay Immigration Check-Point (Thailand / Lao border), visa formality, welcome Group at border by Lao Tourguide then take a boat trip down south along the Mekong River to Pakbeng. Visit Hmong and Khmu villages at Ban Houei Lampen en route, where unique traditions are still being preserved. Also stop to visit Lu village on the bank of the Mekong river where most women still practise in crafts. Continue by boat to Ban Thaxouang and then transfer to Hongsa by road. Check in and O/N in Hongsa.

Day 2: CHIENG KHONG / HOUISAY - PAKBENG - HONGSA (by A/C car, boat)

Visit Hongsa cultural house. Transfer to Ban Thaxoang along the Mekong river by speed boat. En route visit the Pak Ou cave with their lacquered Buddha statues and Ban Xangxai, the rice wine distillation village. Also visit Vat Longkhoune, the royal temple which has survived, where the king used to stay for several days on retreat before being enthroned. Arrive in Luang Prabang-the former Royal capital City of Laos by crossing the Mekong river. Drive to hotel for check in. O/N in Luang Prabang.

Day 3: LUANG PRABANG - KWANGSI WATERFALL (by A/C car)

Morning visit Wat Visoun, Wat May, Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Praphuthabat, National Museum known as former Royal Palace. Afternoon, excursion to visit Khuang Si waterfall. Late afternoon, return to Luangprabang to visit Ban Phanom weaving village and Ban Sangkong village and followed by enjoy sunset over Mekhong river and panoramic view of Luangprabang City on Chomsi/Phousi Mount. O/N in Luang Prabang.

Day 4: LUANG PRABANG - XIENG KHOANG (by A/C car)

Early morming 05h00 to go to the monks procession in town. You can give the monks the food (rice , fruits …). Back to hotel for Breakfast. Drive then to Xieng Khouang through the moutainous road via Phoukhoune, on the way you will have a chance to have an overview the experience the local life style along the mountianous road through the tropical rain forest. Upon arrival at Phonsavan, visit the plain of jars over 300 giant jars of unknown origin they weight between one and six tons each and must be over 1000 years age. On way back, visit Phonsavanh Market. O/N in Xieng khoang. 

Day 5: XIENG KHOUANG - VIENTIANE (by A/C car, plane)

Visit Tham Piu cave, local villages such as Hmong Lai village/Ban Hua Khang, local market and Hmong village/Ban Na Sala. Check out then transfer to the airport for the flight to Vientaine by QV402 14.40-15.10. Welcome and check in. Sightseeing around city and enjoy sunset at Mekong Riverside. Have dinner (not included) with traditional folklore songs and dances of Lao. O/N in Vientiane. (B)

Day 6: VIENTIANE (by A/C car)

Full day visit Vientiane : go on tour to some of the main monastories in the areas such as Prakeo (the original home of the emerald Buddha), Anousavari (Vientiane arc de Triumph), Wat Sisaket (the house of thousand Buddha images), Prathatluang stupa (the stupa that kept the relic of Lord Buddha) and doing shopping at the center market in Vientiane. O/N in Vientiane. (B)

Day 7: VIENTIANE - PAKSE - TAD LOR (by A/C car, plane)

After early breakfast, transfer to airport for flight QV512 06.30-07.40 to Pakse. Upon arrival meet our Pakse guide, then excursion by road (coffee road) toward Paksong District stop over at Km 35 to visit the famous Tad Fan Waterfall and ethnic villages in the surrounding area then continue by road to Champasack. In the afternoon visit Wat Phou (Kmer ruin dated 11th century) then take a drive toward Tad Lor. O/N in Tad Lor resort. (B)

Day 8: TAD LOR - CHAMPASSAK - DON KHONG ISLAND (by A/C car)

Explore some local villages in the areas then take adrive to Champasak. In the afternoon visit Wat Phou (Kmer ruin dated 11th century) then continue driving to Kong Island (discover Khong island by cycling). O/N in Don Kong island. (B)

Day 9: TAD LOR - CHAMPASSAK - DON KHONG ISLAND (by A/C car)

Morning catch the boat to DoneKhone (1 hour trip), visit the famous Liphi (Devil Corridor), if you are lucky you can enjoy watching the Irriwady dolphins (aound 06:00-09:00 AM or 16:00-18:00 PM) and the remnants of the French colonial area (old pier, stream rail way, former French hostital building and  messagerie Maritime Office) then catch the ferry boat to Ban Nakasang village and take a drive to visit Khon Phapheng (Niagara of Asia). Return trip to Pakse. Overnight at Pakse. (B)

Day 10: PAKSE DEPARTURE (by A/C car)

Free at your leisure/doing shopping until the time to transfer to the Pakse airport for departure. (B)
